It’s been awhile since I wrote anything, and a lot has happened this year. I shutdown my business of 21 years and went to work fixing hot tubs and swim spas for a company that has been a client and friend of mine for 16 or 17 of those business years.
Went through an ugly breakup, moved back to the west side of the state, made new friends, lost a few old ones, and generally just have lived.
I’ve got lots to be thankful for though starting with I’m still alive and kicking life’s butt the best way I know how.
I’m thankful for family near and far, blood and otherwise.
I’m thankful for a good job with an awesome boss and great co-workers.
I’m thankful for next door neighbors that keep an extra eye out.
I’m thankful for good health and food on my table.
I’m thankful for good friends that you can sit down to talk like you just saw each other yesterday even when it’s been months.
I’m thankful for Facebook and Twitter to keep in touch with those far away.
I’m thankful for an honest mechanic to keep my vehicles running safely.
I’m thankful to live in a nation where all of us can choose our own path.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
