Good bye 2016, Hello 2017

2016 is a year that has been full of ups and downs for many people. A political nightmare in Britain and the U.S. that saw Brexit succeed and Trump elected in very ugly elections. Lots of popular celebrities passed away, main stream media blew it with fake news, friends (me included) moved to new places further away.

For 2017 I hope to see our country and communities come back together and do what we do best. The U.S. is extremely resilient and capable. It’s time to show the world that we love ourselves by fixing ourselves. Let’s bring back real news to the news channels, real education to schools, and real love to our daily lives with family, friends, and neighbors.

Let make our country whole again. Instead of kicking the trash down the street, pick it up. Instead of being too busy to help someone, make time to do it. Spend time with your children, your parents, your friends, your significant other, your brothers and sisters. Don’t just spend it doing what you want, ask what they want to do and do it.

Sit down for dinner without electronic distractions. Turn off the TV and have a conversation. Listen to some music, and dance like no one is looking.

Above all, leave the past behind as it cannot be changed. Make the choice to be happier, live with joy and do what you love.

Happy New Year to all.
